This small group experience takes you to four memorable food stops, where you’ll taste Italy’s finest specialties, paired with even finer wines.
We’ll start the Italian way, with a classic aperitivo at La Nicchia Café, a beloved gourmet wine bar in Rome.
Here, you’ll enjoy:
• Prosecco to toast the Roman way
• Buffalo mozzarella from Campania
• Parmigiano Reggiano with 30 year aged balsamic
• Truffle specialties
• Pesto bruschette with premium olive oil
From there, we’ll head to Pizzarium, Rome’s most famous pizzeria, led by Gabriele Bonci, widely known as the Michelangelo of pizza.
You’ll taste some of his most creative slices, from mortadella with pistachio to figs with prosciutto.
The heart of the evening is homemade pasta at Il Segreto, served in a cozy Roman restaurant.
Your table will feature:
• Prosciutto di Parma
• Filettuccio al Barolo
• Bresaola from Lombardy
• A selection of premium Italian cheeses
• A glass of Barolo DOCG, Italy’s “King of Wines”
To round out the meal, you’ll choose your handmade Roman pasta:
• Carbonara
• Amatriciana
• Cacio e Pepe
We’ll end on a sweet note with artisan gelato, learning how to recognize the real, traditional kind from the tourist versions.
Along the way, you’ll pick up a few local food tips to keep your Roman culinary adventure going long after the tour ends. And if Florence is your next stop, there’s more good food waiting for you there.
